The Supplement You Are Lacking

The one supplement your workout program is missing.

Commitment. There it's that simple. Some people will not even commit to finishing this article, because I just gave the answer and many will think that, "oh I know that already." We are living in a time where commitment almost to anything is half hearted or non existent. How many people do you know that have started some exercise program or some diet plan and after two weeks you ask them how it's going, to only find out they are back to old habits or not doing anything at else. We live in an easy world. Where everything is easy or is on the way to become easier. Pills promising us to shed 20 pounds in two weeks or exercise programs promising the same. All these quick easy fixes are just bandages to a deeper issue that many people simply are not prepared to actually commit to what they are doing.

The truth is most diets will work or exercise program will work for the majority of people if they just simply committed. I have found often times clients or people seeking advice ask me what I do or eat and how to get to where I am and they think it's 3 easy steps. And the truth is anyone who has gotten and change in their lives in some positive way will say that it usually isn't easy and sucks but well worth it in hindsight. People burn out quickly or lose interest because they are trying to change to many things at once. When asked for advice I tell people usually just find one thing to change like let's say cut out soda and try it for a month.

Many people have trouble even with such a small sacrifice and they are expecting to achieve higher levels of commitment. But I found that my progress is never in big changes, but rather the seemingly easy or overlooked 1% of things. But soon enough let's say you change for the better at least 1% weekly that's already better than who you were before. Don't expect it to be easy or spoon fed to you. Nothing worth having or doing that's easy is not worth doing. Anticipate the difficulty of things. Commit in the hard times. When times have been tough for me I think back to the mental image or goal that I have for myself and tell myself in the end it will be worth it. Because nothing feels as good as committing and succeeding. Without commitment there simply are no results.
